Flip Technologies Introduces the JBox at the ASI, booth 700

San Francisco, CA - Flip Technologies is introducing a new Jukebox at the ASI Show in Chicago next week. This new product, named the JBox, is an innovative, next generation, digital jukebox. The JBox is not only different in size and shape, but the JBox contains some unique features not currently found in other jukeboxes. Some of these features are outlined below.

Compact Design
Only 20 inches high and weighing less than 20 lbs. the JBox is a new generation of digital jukeboxes providing high quality music in a compact, cost-effective format. But despite its small size, the JBox can hold thousands of songs which are digitally stored and instantly accessed.

Cost Effective
The JBox is designed to be cost effective. Although it costs less, the JBox has all the features of today’s jukeboxes, plus features not found in any other jukebox.

Easy to Use
It’s easy to use menu-based music selection system will have first-time users playing songs in seconds. Anybody already familiar with an ATM already knows how to use the JBox.

Choice of Currency Validator
The JBox comes standard with either a bill or coin validator. The number of songs per dollar (or other currencies) is completely programmable.

Optional Multiple User Interfaces
Unlike other digital jukeboxes, the JBox is engineered to allow one or more units to be placed throughout the customer site. They are all tied together by a central server. This is ideal for larger venues where customers can pay for and select music in different areas of a location simultaneously. Music is played in order of selection, regardless of the jukebox location.

Random Mode
If no music selection is made within a certain length of time, the JBox will randomly choose a song to play. The random selection can be limited to a specific chosen music category or it can be set to all categories. The interval of time until a random song is played is also programmable.

Optional “Behind the Bar” Unit
In addition, there is an optional “behind the bar” unit (not shown). This unit is only 7 by 7 inches and can easily mount in any crowded area.  The “behind the bar” unit does not have a currency validator. Instead it has special features which are useful to the establishment’s employees. These features include music skip, and selecting the available music categories. Employees can also play music with this unit, but paying customers always gets priority in the music queue.

Easy to Maintain
Flip Technologies innovative utility software makes it easy for operators to maintain the JBox. Automatic music updating, songs played reports, receipts, and other utilities are all easy access from the JBox.

Web Based Music Updates
Although the JBox does not require an internet connection, it does allow for web-based music updates. The operator can download the altered customer’s music database and update the JBox at the customer site in minutes.
