SAN JOSE, Calif., June 14, 2004—Included in the new, Championship Edition III version of its popular golf game, EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR® GOLF, GLOBAL VR™ recently released a play mode called World Tour that allows players to complete 19 courses in order to establish a handicap ranking. While the first cabinets went online just two weeks ago, reports suggest an increase in play of about 300% over the regular 2-week tournament play. Additionally, the new, GLOBAL VR World Tour leaderboard lists several new players who've already completed World Tour. GLOBAL PLUS Producer, James Kucera feels that such an immediate, enthusiastic response is very encouraging.
