Corvallis, Oregon—The new CyberLock® T-Handle cylinder has a unique dual-action that allows it to operate as a deadbolt and as a self-closing latch. The benefit of this dual action is that when the lock is in an open position, the T-Handle can be easily closed and locked without using a key. As it goes into the locked position, the cylinder returns to the m ost secure operation, the deadbolt.
This cylinder provides the easiest operation for vending route drivers and the highest security for the machines.
The CyberLock system consists of an electronic lock cylinder and electronic key, each containing a microprocessor and memory. Each key is unique and cannot be duplicated, and, since the lock cylinder does not have a traditional keyway, the lock is pick-proof. The CyberLock cylinder prevents foreign material such as gum, glue, plastic film, and wood fibers from entering into the locking mechanism.
The key can be programmed with the desired schedule for a route driver. The schedule includes which locks the key will work with and the specific dates and times the key will work with the selected locks.
As with other CyberLock cylinders, each time the lock is opened it records which user opened the door, with the corresponding date and time of entry. When the protection of cash is the primary consideration, it is this audit reporting that makes the CyberLock so powerful!
CyberLock cylinders go beyond vending. The CyberLock family of intelligent cylinders is extensive and the applications diverse. Since there are no batteries in these cylinders and no wires to install, CyberLocks are used to control access to cabinets, cash drawers, containers, padlocks, and exterior and interior doorways. One key can therefore be used to access locks throughout an entire facility or all vending equipment on a route.
