Amusement Showcase International (ASI) is returning to Sweet Home Chicago

Amusement Showcase International (ASI) is returning to Sweet Home Chicago this March to hold its annual trade show for the global coin-op community. ASI 2005 will be held on Thursday, March 3 - Saturday, March 5, 2005 at the luxurious Hyatt Regency Chicago and is expected to be the most anticipated event this Spring.

Even with the move to Chicago, ASI still continues to be the largest show in the Spring of its kind that delivers fresh, new products that put coins in the cashboxes of locations throughout the country and overseas. It is one of the only places where buyers can see products ranging from the "cool" classics to the "hottest" cutting edge technology.

After such an overwhelmingly successful seminar program in 2004, ASI has come back in full force this year to expand its seminar program even further in 2005. The program will feature an exceptional line- up of presenters including Michael Getlan of Amusement Consultants, Ltd., Ben Jones of RECreation Group, Frank Seninsky of Alpha-Omega Amusements, Randy Fromm of Randy Fromm Arcade School, and many more. Topics to be covered will range from Operational Management and Customer Service to Marketing Strategies and Legislative & Election Updates.

The seminar program will also be open to ASI Exhibitors who are interested in sponsoring and conducting their own seminar to educate both individuals and companies on the important issues affecting the industry, as well as showcase their newest products to the buyers at the show.

In its new location at the Hyatt Regency Chicago Crystal Ballroom, the 2005 Operator's Cocktail Party is expected to be the social highlight of the show where industry professionals can mingle with one another over cocktails and a lavish buffet. The party will be held on Thursday, March 3 from 5:15 - 7:15 pm with sponsors to be announced.

The AAMCF Silent Auction will also be back in 2005 and is celebrating 10 years of successful fundraising for youth related organizations. The AAMCF will conduct the Silent Auction at the AAMA booth on Thursday, March 3 through Saturday, March 5 during show hours.

Also throughout this year's show is the chance for show attendees to win some fabulous prizes through the AAMCF Big Raffle. The Big Raffle will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 3:30 pm in the AAMA booth and proceeds will support the Children's Miracle Network & Kids Enjoy Exercise Now. Raffle tickets for the drawing can be purchased at the AAMA booth during show hours.

As an added bonus to this year's show, ASI will be offering special Spousal Tours so show attendees and exhibitors can share with their spouse the excitement that Chicago has to offer all its guests. Currently, there are 4 tour options to choose from including: a fascinating presentation titled "Jacqueline Kennedy: The White House Years" presented by the Field Museum, Marshall Field's and Chicago Botanic Garden that allows attendants the opportunity to celebrate Jacqueline Kennedy's love of style, beauty and culture through an informative presentation and exquisite display of over 70 garments worn by the former first lady; A guided tram tour of Chicago's beautiful Botanic Garden with private demonstrations by the Garden's Own Executive Chef, concluding with a lunch in the Walnut Room, one of Chicago's oldest restaurants; The "Chicago City Pass" that allows attendants entrance into the many fascinating museums Chicago has to offer including the Art Institute of Chicago, The Field Museum, The Shedd Aquarium, The Hancock Observatory, the Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum, and the Museum of Science and Industry; and finally a cruise on the "Odyssey II," offering a 3-hour escape on a true luxury cruising vessel with climate controlled decks that includes enticing cuisine, live music and unmatched skyline views of the city to all who come on board.

The Official ASI website, www.asi-show.com will once again be the hot spot for show attendees and exhibitors to retrieve new and updated show information as it continuously becomes available. Both ASI 2005 attendees and exhibitors can currently register online for badges. The cost to attend the show is $35 per person if registered before February 21, 2005 and increases to $55 per person if registered after February 21, 2005 or onsite.

The Amusement Showcase International is owned and sponsored by the American Amusement Machine Association (AAMA) and managed by William T. Glasgow, Inc. For additional information, contact show management at 708.226.1300, fax: 708.226.1310 or via e-mail at info@asi-show.com.
