TIM JACKSON, LONGTIME INDUSTRY SALES PRO, DIES AT 45

Marty-Man Smith of Brady Distributing orchestrated a toast during the IAAPA show

Tim Jackson, a long-time industry sales pro, died on November 12 in the intensive care unit of Harbor UCLA Medical Center.

Jackson reportedly had been fighting liver disease and kidney problems. He was 45 years young.

A memorial service was held on Friday, Dec. 1. It was held at Calvary in Gardena California.

"We have just been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from people in the industry that used to work with and do business with Tim," reported brother-in-law Kevin Brooks. "It has meant so much to the family.

Marty-Man Smith of Brady Distributing orchestrated a toast during the IAAPA show, when word of Tim's passing hit the show floor.

Marty said, "About 25 or 30 people gathered at the bar in the Embassy Suites near the convention center at IAAPA. There were some very nice things said in Tim's memory. I mentioned the fact that you always knew when Timmy was in a room. He bounced off the walls with energy and was so alive all the time. Many people walk through their lives meeting people, and after a day, maybe a week, they are forgotten. This was not Tim Jackson at all. He lived his life in such a way that everyone who met him and spent any amount of time with him would most likely never forget him. I will cherish that last hour in the hospital with him for the rest of my life. He could not say much in words but his eyes said all they needed to. He walked from this life into the next to meet his father and those who he loved that have gone before."

Rest in God's peace, Tim.
