Chicago,IL - The Windy City once again lived up to its reputation of being the best place in the United States to get a good meal by playing host to the 2004 National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show. The American Amusement Machine Association (AAMA) joined thousands of other exhibitors and attendees May 21-24, 2004, for good food and great business opportunities in Chicago's McCormick Place Convention Center.
The 2004 National Restaurant Association Show featured over 1,950 exhibitors in more than 890 product categories. There were nearly 70,000 attendees from all 50 states and over 90 countries around the world. Highlights from this year's show included a speech by former United States Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, an ice-carving competition, and more than 45 educational seminars. The National Restaurant Association also introduced several new programs for 2004, such as the new HDTV Sports Bar, which showcased the newest innovations in entertainment technology, and the EDGE-Experience Design program, which displayed the newest trends in restaurant design.
The coin-op industry was well represented at this year's NRA show. The AAMA was joined in its pavilion by several of its member companies including AMOA, Merit Industries, Inc., Sammy USA Corporation, and Team Play, Inc. Other AAMA member companies that exhibited at the show but were not a part of the association's pavilion were Bay-Tek, Inc., E-Cast, Inc., Fun Express, Global VR, Inc., Marshall Productions, MedTech Wristbands, NSM Music, Inc., Rock-Ola Manufacturing, and TouchTunes Music Corporation. The AAMA booth had heavy traffic throughout the four-day show and handed out many directories and acquired over 95 leads from attendees.
