In 2004, the American Amusement Machine Charitable Foundation, (AAMCF), sponsored various fund raising events in an effort to raise money for two children's charities, The Children's Miracle Network (CMN) and Kids Enjoy Exercise Now (K.E.E.N.). The fund raising season kicked off with its annual Holiday Wreath Fund Raiser; where CF sold boxed holiday wreaths to be delivered prior to the 2003's holiday season. And just a quick note: 2004 holiday wreath orders are now being accepted. You may order your wreaths on-line at www.coin-op.org and click on AAMCF. All orders must be in by November 10, 2004.
The main events took place during the 2003 Amusement Showcase International (ASI); where CF held a massive silent auction, a golf outing and their infamous BIG raffle. And finally, the AAMCF added its newest and most talked about fund raising event, the Mr. Coin-Op Pageant. The first ever Mr. Coin-Op Pageant took place during AAMA's ever successful Distributor Cocktail Gala. As I'm sure you have seen pics of such “pretty” charitable work being conducted; four brave souls dressed in drag and walked the Gala shamelessly showing their assets for contributions.
In 2004, the AAMA annual meeting wrapped up the weekend with a thank you dinner; where the AAMCF presented Children's Miracle Network representative; Rod Hamson with a $10,000 donation. On behalf of the AAMCF, we would like to thank the entire coin-op industry for supporting this organization year-round.
