Amusement & Music Operators Association (AMOA)AMOA Spearheads Amusement Industry Catastrophe Relief Effort
Marion Paul, president of the Amusement & Music Operators Association (AMOA) said today that the organization is moving with all haste possible to organize the coin-operated amusement games industry's response to the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina on the Gulf Coast. "Watching this disaster unfold on television and with reports slowly coming in of AMOA members who have lost everything in this storm, has created an incredible sense of urgency to respond amongst our board of directors. We have created the Amusement Industry Katrina Relief Fund to collect and disperse donations received from both our members and other caring industry participants. In a special conference call of the AMOA Executive Committee earlier today, the 12-member group unanimously approved:
"Our hearts go out to all those affected by this catastrophe. There are no words to effectively express the magnitude of this disaster nor the incredible sense of loss and anguish that has permeated our country's very soul. We all want to reach out and help in some way. Right now that way is to donate dollars to those organizations best prepared to help AMOA Executive VP Jack Kelleher informs that those wishing to contribute the Amusement Industry Katrina Relief Fund, or who are seeking Information about Industry firms affected by the hurricane, you may log onto AMOA's website at AMOA.COM for instructions on how to do so.
