Arachnid, Inc. Players Come From Five States To Compete!

IA WS - Dedra Hunstad with Rick Fieser, Tournament Official

On January 12-14, 2007, the BullShooter Tour stopped at the Hanford Inn, in Mason City, IA, for a BullShooter Qualifier. The Regional was co-sponsored by Greater America Dist., in Johnston, IA, and Moss Distributing, in Des Moines, IA. Players came from Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri and Wisconsin to compete for a Qualifying Card and $9,000 in prize money.

In the women’s division, Dedra Hunstad, from Waterloo, IA, captured the Women’s Singles championship and Women’s Doubles Combo with Jamie Pechota, from Cedar Rapids, IA. Michelle Hastings and Vicki Kinney, both from Dubuque, IA, won Women’s Doubles 301 and Michelle took seconds in Mixed Doubles Cricket with Howard Hastings and Women’s Doubles Combo with Teri Berte. Rose Thill, from Dubuque, won firsts in Mixed Cricket with Jason Horstman and Mixed Triples with Jason and Perry Moser.

The Pros Singles event was won by Mike Brewer, from Omaha, NE after defeating Bob Haft, from Coon Rapids, MN, in the championship leaving him second. Pro Doubles was won by Charles Shaner, from Hayfield, MN and Timothy Burch, from Kasson, MN.

In the men’s open events, Ronald Vonholdt, and Chad Crawford won Men’s Doubles; Randall Essick and Sean Gray captured Men’s Cricket Doubles; and Scott Krause-Mahan, won the Men’s Singles event.

All players that finished in the top three places received Qualifying Cards to the BullShooter Finals that will be held over Memorial Day weekend, May 24-28, 2007. Over $120,000 will be given out in cash prizes over the five-day weekend.

IA PS - Mike Brewer won the Pro Singles Championship. Lee Kosak is presenting his trophy.
