Italy leads the field of guest nation exhibitors The Amusement Trades Exhibition International will boast its most international line-up of coin-op amusements and gaming suppliers to date when the doors open at London’s Earls Court Exhibition Centre on 23-25 January. Of 255 exhibiting companies occupying more than 11,500 square metres of floor space, over half (136) are based in 26 countries outside the home nation. Italy leads the field of guest nation exhibitors with 27 individual companies, followed by Spain with 17, Poland with 13 and Taiwan and the USA with 12 each. Others hail from Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Irish Republic, India, Japan, Korea, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, San Marino, Slovakia and Ukraine. Comprising nearly a quarter of the exhibition roster, 60 companies drawn from 15 countries will make their first ever appearance at ATEI with non-UK debutants (44 in total) outnumbering British first-timers (16) by almost three to one. Amongst the influx of ‘new blood’, five fresh faces from each of Poland and Taiwan, four each from Korea and the USA, three each from Canada and Spain, and two each from China and Germany. Other newcomers travel to London from India, Netherlands, Portugal and San Marino. ATEI also welcomes back old friends with 13 companies making a reappearance at the show following an absence of one or more years, whilst of the 184 exhibitors returning from the 2006 show, over half (94) have bigger stands. 25 exhibitors will have significant showcases in excess of 100sqm and 15 will aim to prove that size really does matter with stands of 200sqm and above.
