We are delighted to have Glenn join our team. Berkeley, CA, – Cantaloupe Systems announced today that industry veteran Glenn Butler will be joining their executive team as President and Chief Technology Officer. Butler attended the Western NAMA show with Cantaloupe and will begin full time employment this month (April 2006).Butler joins Cantaloupe after spending 15 years as the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at CRANE-Streamware. During his tenure at Streamware he was the architect of the VendMAX and DeliveryMAX software systems and worked to create the industry’s first syndicated data service, InfoVEND. Butler has been an industry catalyst promoting technology and helping operators successfully implement item level tracking software systems using the DEX protocol. Mandeep Arora, CEO of Cantaloupe Systems, commented, “We are delighted to have Glenn join our team. His experience and passion for technology and vending fit perfectly with Cantaloupe’s plans for future development and growth.” Butler will be responsible for promoting Cantaloupe’s SeedTM Platform which allows vending operators to wirelessly monitor their machines. The data collected by the SeedTM system can be used for pre-picking and dynamic scheduling which provides tremendous route efficiency and improved ROI for both large and small operators. Vending operators can use the SeedTM Web Application to run their operations and can also send data from SeedTM to existing software systems such as those provided by MEI and CRANE-Streamware. In addition to providing for route efficiencies, Butler noted that, “The SeedTM Platform provides a fantastic alerts feature that allows operators to be notified via e-mail, pager, or cell phone when certain alarm conditions occur at monitored machines. For example, SeedTM can immediately notify a service supervisor when an ice cream machine loses power, potentially saving hundreds of dollars worth of product from damage.” ABOUT CANTALOUPE SYSTEMS Cantaloupe Systems Corporation, www.cantaloupesys.com, (510) 647-3785, headquartered in Berkeley, California, is the leader in developing complete wireless M2M applications for vertical markets.
