Compumatic
The World Championship celebrates its 8thconsecutive year

Compumatic, one of the most important European suppliers of game kits to the amusement industry, sponsors the 8th annual Electronic Darts World Championship. The event, organized by the Soft Dart World Federation, brings together over 350 professional dart players from all over the world.

Compumatic, founded in 1984, is a world leading company in the creation of game kits for the amusement industry. The research and development department located in Barcelona, Spain, works in close contact with their customers to focus on creating new kits using the latest technology and innovative gaming software.

The prestigious Championship, which has been sponsored by Compumatic since 1997, offers over 30,000€ in prizes in the 501, 701 and Cricket categories and we be held from September 14th to the 17th.

Last year, Poland was the big winner taking both the Men's and Women's country selections while Martin Hoffman, of the Czech Republic team, won the coveted prize of 8,000€ in the 501 Men's Singles.

The Championship brings together players from a variety of cultures, coming from countries such as Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Moldavia, Poland, the Russian Federation, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovenia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and, of course, Spain.

Another interesting aspect of the Championship, is that it is held in the beach town of Lloret de Mar, near Barcelona, giving participants the option of taking time off to tan and swim in the Mediterranean sea!
