ECAST SIGNS AMOA PRIVACY AGREEMENT

Ecast, Inc., whose software powers thousands of coin-op digital jukeboxes through its Location-Based Broadband Network™, has endorsed the AMOA Information Privacy and Security Policy. Bob Cooney, vice president of marketing for Ecast, signed the current document.

"Ecast was instrumental in helping to create some of the core definitions that are found in the current version of AMOA's Information Privacy and Security Policy. The company, by virtue of its business model, is well versed in the collection of online data. On behalf of our industry, we applaud their support of the AMOA guidelines and encourage other manufacturers to follow suit," said Jim Pietrangelo, chairman of the AMOA group that has been overseeing efforts to expand support of the policy.

"Because Ecast's business is 100% dependent on using the Internet to deliver content and information, our agreement with our operator partners has always included provisions which protect our customers' privacy," said Cooney. “We are happy to endorse this policy as it continues our goal of reassuring our customers that their privacy is of paramount concern to us.”

Designed to raise awareness and serve as a guide in operator-manufacturer agreements, the policy defines specific types of confidential information and addresses the security of such information gathered from online coin-op equipment. While AMOA strongly subscribes to its goals and contents, the acceptance and/or use of the policy guidelines is, and will remain, voluntary.
