Ecast Jukebox 'Dash to 1000' Fund Shatters Expectations at AMOA
Amusement Machine Operators Capitalize on Low Price Jukes; Limited Units Remain
SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- 09/26/2005 -- Manufacturers of Ecast digital jukeboxes reported a surge in jukebox order commitments, totaling nearly 800 units, at the Amusement Machine Operators Association convention last week.
In the three days of the trade show, Ecast received 600 signed order commitments, shattering expectations. An additional 200 verbal orders are still being processed. "In my six years at Ecast this has been, by far, the most enthusiasm generated for any single program," said Steven Kellam, Ecast Director of Sales. "The demand is finally catching up with the technology."
The surge was in response to Ecast's "Dash to 1000" fund, an innovative sales promotion introduced at the AMOA, which provides a $1,500 subsidy per jukebox to operators who deploy 25 or more Ecast-powered jukeboxes between Sept. 14 and Dec. 31, 2005. Operators deploying ten or more jukeboxes qualify for a $1,000 per jukebox subsidy. "This incentive provides a great way for operators to really push hard for the last remaining months of the year and get attractive credits in return," said John Taylor, Interim CEO of Ecast. "I am glad we can provide a product and program that the industry clearly needs."
Distributors also saw a boost in response to the new sales promotions during AMOA. "It was truly an incredible experience to see the industry so excited about the future of coin-op. I am glad to see that Ecast is leading the charge," said Steven Toranto at Birmingham Vending.
"In my 34 years in the business I have never walked into or out of a show with as much confidence and optimism as this one. Ecast has really hit the mark with a set of programs that really address operators' needs," said Jim Woodland of WK Amusements. "I have been planning on expanding my business and upgrading my current boxes -- this program couldn't have come at a better time."
The Ecast "Dash to 1000" Fund applies to all Ecast manufacturers including NSM, Rock-Ola and View. The incentive program will only be extended long enough to cover an additional 200 jukeboxes, or until Dec 31, 2005, whichever comes first.
