My father was a coin-operator SAN FRANCISCO, Ecast has hired veteran technology marketer Ken will direct the evolution of the jukebox product along with the broader market opportunities that will lead to the expansion of the Ecast network. His responsibilities include identifying user and market trends and helping to define the product vision and strategy to increase its revenue and entertainment performance. “Ken is here to ensure that Ecast always has the best jukebox product in the market and continues its history of innovation,” said John Taylor, CEO, Ecast. “We are dedicated to providing our operators the very best music network and jukebox features. Ken brings a compelling combination of high-tech media experience and everyday understanding of the coin op business that will benefit Ecast and our operators.” Ken has over 18 years of high technology product management, marketing and business planning experience. He spent 11 years at Apple where he was a group product marketing manager. Among many other achievements at Apple, he worked to bring Apple QuickTime 4.0 to the market. He also spent two years of his career as the senior product manager for the consumer products division at Dolby Laboratories where he worked with all five business units including: PCs, consumer electronics, television broadcast, game consoles and automotive. Ken also spent formative years learning the jukebox business from his father, a former coin operator in New Jersey. “My father was a coin-operator while I was growing up and I have such fond memories of pinball and candy machines in our basement and spending Saturday mornings with my dad on his route,” said Ken. “It’s an industry that is near and dear to my heart and I look forward to getting re-connected with the operator community and helping to bring them even more of the revenue generating features that make Ecast stand out from the competition.” ABOUT ECAST December 20, 2006 |
