ECAST, INC
ECAST-POWERED JUKEBOXES FEATURES LATEST LILY ALLEN ALBUM
|
Weekly Broadband Network Update Also Includes Notable
Classics, Indies, Blues, Latin and More
SAN FRANCISCO – This week as part of its regularly scheduled weekly music update, Ecast is featuring Alright, Still, the latest album from British pop artist Lily Allen. A music attract loop also draws patron attention to other music included in the weekly release, which spans the range of music tastes and location demographics. This content was automatically available to the more than 10,000 locations across the Ecast Network, allowing operators to collect on the benefits of increased song play as patrons explore the promoted selections.
Earning top billing as the Ecast album headliner is Alright Still. Cheeky, smart and catchy, Lily Allen’s debut album features a wealth of radio and Internet download hit tunes including “Smile,” “LDN,” and “Everything’s Just Wonderful.” Allen made a name for herself almost as soon as she released her demos on the Internet and her popularity continues to soar. Before Alright, Still was even released in the United States at the end of January 2007, Entertainment Weekly magazine had already named it as one of the top ten albums of 2006. Based on patron response to the recent Ecast featured album by Fall Out Boy – 9,000 plays in a one week period – Allen’s album will enjoy further exposure from her visibility on the Ecast Network.
In addition to the featured album, Ecast music experts selected a wide range of albums and flavors to catch patron interest. The Latin selection is impressive, including new albums from norteño titans Los Bukis as well as cumbia stars Control. Indie fans will be pleased to see Sung Tongs by pop-psych-noise experimentalists Animal Collective, and Thickfreakness by down-low raw rock-blues band Black Keys.
Other albums and tracks to look for this week on the Ecast Network:
- Delfonics, Forever New: The 30th anniversary album by the incomparable Philly soul band
- Taylor Hicks, Taylor Hicks: The debut self-titled album from American Idol's salt-and-pepper soulster features a Marvin Gaye cover along with a pretty heavy Joe Cocker influence
- Baby Bash, “Look for “Na Na (The Yummy Song)”: The new hip-hop styled single from the California/Texas rapper
- K-OS, Atlantis-Hymns for Disco: The new full-length album from rap-reggae-soul hybrid band
