Renewed and First-Time Licensing Agreements with AC/DC, Soundgarden, The Shins and Others Greatly Expand Ecast’s Music Catalog
AUSTIN, Texas, – Ecast announced its Q4 2006 renewed publishing agreements with AC/DC and new publishing agreements with Hank Williams Jr., Soundgarden, The Shins, Steve Miller, Sufjan Stevens and Wolfmother—expanding the music catalog on its broadband touchscreen media network.
This new music is now available for play on Ecast’s nationwide network of over 10,000 interactive, touchscreen jukeboxes located in bars, taverns and restaurants. New music added to Ecast’s catalog includes albums from Hank Williams Jr. (“Greatest Hits Volumes 1-3”), Soundgarden (“Superunknown” and “Badmotorfinger”), The Shins (entire catalog including “Wincing the Night Away”), Steve Miller (“Greatest Hits 74-78”), Sufjan Stevens (“Seven Swans”) and Wolfmother (self-titled, debut album).
“Publishers are increasingly recognizing Ecast as a tool for artist development,” said Lisa Tiver, senior vice president of business affairs, Ecast. “The network provides a great opportunity for publishers to support their artists through high-impact album and song promotions in bars and nightclubs.”
Ecast will showcase its expansive catalog of music on two broadband touchscreen jukeboxes at the Platinum Lounge March 9-17 during the South by Southwest (SXSW) interactive, film and music festival in Austin, Texas.
