Ecast Patrons Are Already Playing Tracks from Three Blockbuster Artists
Whose Albums Hit Retail Stores Only Yesterday!
SAN FRANCISCO – Today’s regularly scheduled additions of new music to the Ecast Network sizzle with sounds for patrons of every musical taste. Among the new content already at patron fingertips across Ecast’s 10,000 locations are three brand new albums that hit retail and online stores only yesterday. Once again Ecast flexes the power of broadband, making album content playable across its entire network, something not possible with dial-up connections. These bar-perfect albums have already started generating income for Ecast operators.
In addition to a video attract loop to promote the new content, Ecast uses its unique Hot Hits music recommendation feature to highlight all new music and increase premium content downloads. Bound to boost juke play, the three new albums in the country and rock genres are:
- Big & Rich Between Raising Hell And Amazing Grace: in this third album, the beat thumping country rock duo bust out with new sounds and new energy sure to attract new audiences.

- Chris Cornell Carry On: The long-awaited second solo album from former Audioslave and Soundgarden singer weaves a rich tapestry of sounds from the bluesy, to psychedelic to country flavored. Early reviews indicate the two-time Grammy Award winner is slated to end up with several hits. Included in the 14-track collection is a slow groove cover of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” as well as the first full album release of European smash hit "You Know My Name," the main title song for the current James Bond movie, Casino Royale.
- Poison Poison’d: the band’s first studio album since 2002 features Poison’s favorite rock classics, including hits originally recorded by David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, The Cars, Sweet, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and more.
Also new on the Ecast Network today:
- Overshadowed in last week’s excitement about Paul McCartney joining the digital music realm was news that Ecast added the original cast recording from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Music from the runway smash hit and cult classic had generated a fair amount of demand from Ecast operators. After approximately nine months of negotiations by our dedicated music licensing team, the label granted us permission last week and we added it right away. For those of you out there who love Rocky Horror, it’s time to do the time warp again!
