ECAST MUSIC GETS EXTRA FRESH
|
Patrons can already play any of 115 newly added albums to the Ecast Network,
some of which hit stores just yesterday
SAN FRANCISCO – This week, Ecast new music Wednesday delivers an extra fresh boost of juke-perfect grooves with a handful of brand new albums that were only released to stores yesterday. These albums represent only a fraction of the 115 albums added to the Ecast music library today and already beginning to get premium patron play, thanks to the Ecast all-broadband network.
Ecast is also simultaneously showcasing not one, but two feature albums. In the spotlight are Icky Thump, the brand new album from alternative rockers White Stripes and Big Dog Daddy, the latest album from country singer Toby Keith, filled with the artist’s trademark high energy songs and ballads. Genre and lyric filter settings on each jukebox across the 10,000-plus Ecast Network automatically determine delivery of the appropriate artist’s music content, album art and video attract loops for that location.
New in stores and on the Ecast Network:
Icky Thump by White Stripes – Hailed by some as a modern rock masterpiece, the sixth studio album from alternative rocker duo White Stripes is their most explosive album to date. If downloads of the title track single “Icky Thump,” released earlier last month, are any indication, the full album release will gets lots of attention at the juke.
5th Gear by Brad Paisley – The country music start and world-class guitarist delivers another admirable release. The bar friendly album is a blend of classic Paisley, with the chart topping single “Ticks” alongside other great tracks such as “Mr. Policeman” a modern day outrun-the-law story.
It’s a Bit Complicated by Art Brut – This is the second full-length album from critics’ darlings and brainy punk rockers Art Brut, who are huge on the college radio circuit. A bit poppier than their first (2004’s Brutlegs) it’s equally rebellious and filled with funny, tongue-in-cheek references.
We Can Create by MAPS – This ambitious debut album by UK artist James Chapman is filled with wild sound scapes. Recorded in a tiny bedroom without computers, sounds were painstakingly spliced together. Getting lots of buzz on the alternative and college circuits, this album and Art Brut are ideal for your hipper, college skewed locations
