ECAST ADDS JAMES TAYLOR AND FEATURES BRAND NEW RELEASE FROM INTERPOL
|
181 albums added overnight to the Ecast Network and playable in all Ecast-powered jukes across the nation
SAN FRANCISCO – This week, Ecast new music Wednesday rocks with the addition of 181 albums, four of which are by James Taylor, one of the most beloved artists from 70s and who has been much requested by operators. Publishing rights for much of Taylor’s catalog were recently acquired by EMI publishing and in turn that content was added to the Ecast Network. Enjoying Ecast’s feature album position this week and playable on all 10,000 Ecast-powered jukeboxes across the nation is Our Love to Admire, the third album by critically and commercially acclaimed indie rock band Interpol, which was made available for to the public only yesterday.
With its trademark thundering drums and ringing lead guitar, Our Love to Admire is likely to get great patron play particularly from cross-over fans of the Arctic Monkeys and Modest Mouse. The latest albums from both of these bands were recently featured on the Ecast Network and subsequently went to top positions on the charts.
Make sure to listen to “Lighthouse,” the album’s last song. According to the product description, the hypnotic guitar part was played on a 50-year-old guitar that had toxins on the strings, providing guitarist Daniel Kessler with a blistering and painful sensation in his fingers.
“With Interpol we’re promoting an ideal juke artist who is going to get lots of play,” said Joshua Pollack, content marketing manager, Ecast. “Personally, however, I’m really excited about the addition of James Taylor. He’s a major artist we’ve been unable to get our hands on because his previous publisher wasn’t interested in digital jukebox providers. The minute we saw significant parts of Taylor’s catalog had been purchased by EMI, we added everything they had available. This is great news for operators and patrons who love the legends.”
