announces the launch of the first ever color changing card reader for use on games and attractions. Dubbed the COLOR-GLO Swiper, this new device brings a fresh set of promotional and operational features to the widely used Embed Card System (ECS). With the ECS, guests purchase a play card from either a Point of Sale Station or Self-Service Kiosk and then swipe their card through the card reader installed on each arcade game or attraction. The appropriate value or privilege is deducted from the card account and the game begins or access is granted. With the COLOR-GLO Swiper, sites can now color-coordinate their marketing efforts by associating colors of games with certain packages or specials. This Patent Pending technology by Embed will also allow the swiper to be interactive with the guest and can display specific colors or effects based on the card that is presented. “Interacting with the guest in this fashion at the point of payment is something that has never been done before,” says Mark Easte, Director of US Operations for Embed. “The COLOR-GLO Swiper is more inviting and has an increased appeal to kids and families alike.”
