POLAROID VETERAN, DON MAUCHAN JOINS THE COMPANY AS DIRECTOR OF NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT Garwood, NJ – The newest member of the Face Place Team, Don Mauchan is welcomed aboard!
About Don Mauchan’s History Don is well known and respected throughout the photo entertainment community as a leader in the design and engineering of a variety of industry firsts. Don’s relationship with Face Place began at the company’s inception. “When we were looking for a print solution for our photo booth, we turned to Polaroid”, stated Face Place president and ceo, Gene Lipkin. “Don led the team at Polaroid that developed the image capture and print process for our photo booth. His contributions and assistance proved invaluable to the product development cycle resulting in a photo booth we are extremely proud to represent. It was during this process I realized Don was someone I wanted on my team.” Don started at Polaroid in 1966 making him one of their longest tenured employees. Don is a member of Polaroid’s Inventors Hall of Fame and holds 19 US and international patents. His vast experience at Polaroid covers the gamut of product development including model making, prototype design, and engineering liaison. About Don Mauchan’s Face Place Responsibilities Don will oversee all Face Place product development starting with 3 products that will broaden the company’s market appeal and satisfy customer demand. In addition, Don will assist with the company’s sales and marketing efforts. “Don knows more about photo booths then anyone I’ve ever met”, continued Lipkin. “His contributions will result in further establishing our position as a significant player in the photo entertainment industry”.
