FRITO-LAY New BCS Format Features the Winner-Take-All Tostitos BCS National Championship Game

Tostitos Gives Away Two Tickets to the Bcs National Championship Game Everyday Throughout College Football Season

Plano, TX - To kick-off the 2006 college football season, Tostitos brand is rewarding fans with tickets to the Tostitos BCS National Championship Game. Kicking-off today, college football fans who enter and win the "Tostitos Playmakers" promotion will receive two tickets to the game pitting the two teams at the top of the BCS standings against each other. A winner will be selected each day for 16 weeks - the entirety of the 2006 college football season - from all eligible entries submitted on that day.

For a chance to win tickets, college football fans can visit www.tostitos.com and enter the promotional code found on specially marked bags of Tostitos tortilla chips. Promotional codes are also available at www.tostitos.com without purchase. The promotion runs from August 14, 2006 through December 2, 2006.

"Whether huddled around the TV for the big game or catching up before dinner, Tostitos tortilla chips and dips help bring family and friends together anytime," said Greg Lyons, director, marketing, Frito-Lay North America. "Through the 'Tostitos BCS Championship Ticket Giveaway' promotion, Tostitos is bringing people together from all across the country and putting them in the stands at the biggest game in college football."

This year's Tostitos BCS National Championship Game is the first time the Bowl Championship Series will feature a stand-alone championship game between the two teams that finish the season at the top of the BCS standings. The winner-take-all national championship will be played at Cardinals Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on January 8, 2007 and will air on FOX. Tostitos brand is also the title sponsor of the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl airing on FOX on January 1, 2007.
