GLOBAL VR® GLOBAL VR® CONNECT TO CASH WINNERS CASH IN!

We see the program as having been hugely successful.

Fulfilling a promise to deliver $25,000.00 in cash and merchandise, GLOBAL VR randomly drew the names of qualified operators who participated in the 4 month Connect To Cash contest. Launched in September 2005, the Connect to Cash program was developed to reward those operators who put GLOBAL VR gaming cabinets online. Games could be any of GLOBAL VR’s tournament enabled products including EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR® Golf, Underground™, and Madden NFL™ Football. One “chance” was awarded for every game cabinet that went online between September 21, 2005 and December 31, 2005. In total, more than 300 operator businesses were represented with almost 700 game cabinets going online in the 4 month period.

Wes Harris, GLOBAL VR’s director of product marketing said about the program, “The Connect To Cash program was implemented in order to incentivize operators to put game cabinets online. They could then see for themselves just how positively earnings are affected when online features such as tournament, are available for players.” He went on the comment, “We see the program as having been hugely successful. Over 300 hundred operators took advantage of the opportunity to win prizes as well as to increase the cash box by having their games online.”

On March 16th GLOBAL VR drew the names of 25 operator businesses from all of the “chances” that had accumulated over the 4 months. 1st Prize, won by Port City Amusements of Wilmington, North Carolina was a Need For Speed Underground game cabinet, 2nd Prize won by S and S Amusement of Everett, Washington was an EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR® Golf Challenge Edition game, 3rd Prize was the Home Version game cabinet of EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR Golf won by Marc Enterprises, Inc. located in Eerie, Pennsylvania, and North West Amusements in Olympia, Washington took 4th Prize, a EA SPORTS PGA TOUR Golf Conversion Kit. In addition, GLOBAL VR also awarded $1000 in cash as well as electronic devices such as a 23” LCD HDTV, laptop computers, digital cameras, camcorders, and DVD and stereo systems.

One of the twenty five winning companies was Northwest Amusements located in Olympia, Washington. The company’s fourth place prize, the EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR® Golf Conversion Kit was warmly received by the company spokesperson and owner, Bobby Noel. “Winning is always fun, but winning something you really want is truly exciting. It felt like Christmas around here.” He went on the say, “We had identified several older games on our route that we wanted convert to PGA Tour Golf. Winning the conversion kit makes it easier to get our entire route converted. We appreciate the program that GLOBAL VR put together and will continue to support the company and its products.”
