Two Opportunities Give Attendees The Chance to Help IAAPA's Spotlight Charity
The IAAPA Attractions Expo 2005 Annual Conference and Trade Show would not be complete without taking the time to help the amusement and attractions industry's friends at the Give Kids The World Village. In conjunction with the IAAPA Attractions Expo 2005, two fun-filled opportunities are available for attendees to join and feel the joy of giving to GKTW.
Third Annual IAAPA Golf Tournament
Stone Mountain Golf Club is situated at the foot of Stone Mountain and winds through a forest of Georgia pines around Stone Mountain Lake. Its two courses—Stonemont, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., and Lakemont, designed by John LaFoy—feature impressive elevation changes and brilliant design for any skill level.
IAAPA's Annual Silent Auction Give Kids the World is an organization that fulfills the wishes of children with life threatening illnesses and their families by providing each “wish” family a week of cost-free fun at the Give Kids the World Village located in Orlando, Florida. As an enchanting and whimsical destination that features amusement rides, round-the-clock ice cream, costumed characters, and day-trips to theme parks, the village has provided families with unforgettable memories for thousands of children since it first opened its gates in 1989.
IAAPA has worked to raise funds and provide support for Give Kids the World for more than ten years. Additionally, IAAPA developed the “World Passport for Kids” which entitles children and their immediate family members complimentary admission to participating IAAPA member facilities. Presently, more than 300 facilities in 34 countries are part of the World Passport program. To find out how you can help Give Kids The World, please visit their website at www.gktw.org.
