IALEI International Association for the Leisure and Entertainment Industry

IIP&GA to Merge with IALEI

Outdoor and rental inflatable companies have been growing and expanding their role as providers of family fun

Hershey, PA – The International Inflatable Products and Games Association (IIP&GA) announced today that it will merge with the International Association for the Leisure and Entertainment Industry (IALEI).

According to its Executive Director, Tracy Sarris, IALEI has made a commitment to expand its services to meet the needs of the various niche businesses that are part of the Family Entertainment Community. “Our leadership recognizes that IALEI’s mission to educate and support the family entertainment industry goes well beyond the standard family entertainment center of yesterday,” said Ms. Sarris. “Outdoor and rental inflatable companies have been growing and expanding their role as providers of family fun and face their own challenges; from business operations to regulations and insurance.”

To address some of these needs for the inflatables industry, IALEI will be offering an inflatable certification program and educational tracks targeted to this specialty at Fun Expo (September 27 – 29, 2007) and during Fun Academy (September 24 – 29, 2007) being held in Las Vegas. IALEI will also be looking to develop a group insurance program specific to the outdoor and rental inflatable community. As a result of this merger, IIP&GA members will now be able to take advantage of all the benefits and services currently offered to IALEI members.

“The inflatables marketplace is not as narrow as it was in the past,” said Scott Borowsky, President and Executive Editor of Tourist Attractions & Parks magazine. “These professionals want to learn about new games, food concession, etc. and IALEI offers an organizational structure and several well-rounded benefits.”
