Golden Tee LIVE 2007 – The Biggest Update in History

Now 10 Courses – 5 Brand New and 5 Original Hole-n-win! Returns 12-Month – Zero Interest Financing Available

Arlington Heights, IL - Golden Tee’s New Courses Release Day – awaited anxiously by millions and described by some players as Christmas and the Super Bowl rolled into one – is the biggest day in the amusement industry each year.

And this year looks to be the biggest ever!.

This August Incredible Technologies will debut the first update for Golden Tee LIVE since the game’s launch in April of 2005. With its revolutionary wireless technology and cutting-edge hardware system, LIVE allows IT’s designers to push the limits of creativity and enhance the entertainment experience that Golden Tee has become famous for.

Jim Zielinski, Golden Tee’s award-winning chief golf course architect and the game’s co-designer, says that the 2007 new course update is one of the most ambitious in company history. “I’ve designed nearly 70 Golden Tee courses throughout the game’s lifespan and this update was the most challenging and enjoyable that I’ve ever been a part of,” Zielinski explains. “Using tools like real-life satellite imagery, we were able to build true courses in the middle of Central Park and within the Mayan ruins on the Yucatan peninsula. These feats are graphically intense and never would have been possible without the hardware engine of Golden Tee LIVE.”

Five New Courses
Keeping with Golden Tee tradition, Golden Tee LIVE 2007 will feature five new courses designed by Zielinski and his team. The new courses include:
Rustic Bridge - Central Park, New York City
Set amidst a buzzing Manhattan city scene, Rustic Bridge is sure to become enshrined as one of the greatest Golden Tee courses in history.
Indigo Mound - Yucatan, Mexico
The ancient Mayan ruins of the Yucatan peninsula set the scene and the challenge for this unique and stunning design.
Palm Springs C.C. - Palm Springs, California
A retro-style desert course set within one of the country’s most famous vacation destinations – full of palm trees, sun and new challenges.
Moose Landing – Acadia, Maine
One of the most picturesque wildlife areas in the world, the natural beauty of Acadia, Maine, provides the ideal landscape for Golden Tee.
Glacier Ranch – Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Carved into the living stone of the Rocky Mountains, Glacier Ranch will dazzle and mystify players of all skill levels.

For the First Time Ever – 10 Courses!

New for operators and players in this update, the 5 original Golden Tee LIVE courses will remain in the game - giving players even more choices than ever before.

“In the past we were concerned that too many options would dilute the value of an update and confuse the player,” said Larry Hodgson, VP of Product Development and co-designer. “But we’ve found a way to minimize confusion and make these still-great courses available to our players. The payoff will continue next year when operators will have a choice as to which 5 of the 10 legacy courses they will make available to their players.”

“We want to provide the maximum value possible to our operators with this update – and having 10 courses available for players helps make that happen,” said Don Pesceone, VP of Sales. “The new courses will get all the play initially, but Golden Tee players have their favorites. With 10 courses to choose from, players will have something new and fresh to look forward to every time they step up to the machine.”

Hole-n-win Returns!

When IT launched Golden Tee LIVE in April of 2005, a decision was made to delay activating the acclaimed Hole-n-win! feature until players grew accustomed to LIVE’s real-time tournament structure. That time is now.

The game’s project manager, Brian Jandula, explains that LIVE’s wireless connection has allowed the development team to expand Hole-n-win!’s capabilities.

“’Win Instantly!’ That’s the tagline for the new LIVE Hole-n-win!,” Jandula said. “Now when a player hits an ace after choosing Hole-n-win!, their prize money will instantly be credited to their Golden Tee LIVE player account. That money can be used to play more Golden Tee LIVE or Silver Strike Bowler’s Club. It keeps the money in the game and that’s a win-win for everybody.”

(It should be noted that Hole-n-win! will not be available in all areas: interested players will be able to see if it is available on any given machine. Rules will be viewable on the game.)

New Partnerships, New Opportunities

Golden Tee LIVE 2007 will continue to feature actual golf equipment integration into the game courtesy of LIVE’s official sponsor, Top Flite, including new clubs, balls and apparel. In addition IT unveiled their newest major brand sponsor, Coca-Cola, at this year’s Operator Summit in Tempe, Arizona.

Gary Colabuono, IT’s marketing director, explains that the integration is a partnership designed to increase awareness of one of the world’s most recognizable brands while adding to the overall Golden Tee experience. “It doesn’t get any bigger than Coke!” he said. “Their product placement was designed to be seamless and fun – our players are really going to enjoy it. Partnership opportunities like this are fueling the console game market, and they will have a significant impact within the amusement industry too,” he said. “They add value for our operators, new experiences for our players and are opening new doors for our brand.”

Financing Package Available for August Release

The company will start taking orders on August 1 for the first shipment of updates scheduled for a mid-August release. Pesceone stressed how important it is that every LIVE in the field updates to 2007.
