Whipple has negotiated licenses with many major toy and entertainment industry players such as Mattel, Hasbro, NBC, and NASCAR. (Arlington Heights, IL) Elaine Hodgson, president and CEO of Incredible Technologies, the country’s largest manufacturer of coin-operated video games announced today the retention of Marc J. Whipple, 36, as its new General Counsel.
Before coming to Incredible Technologies, Whipple was general counsel to Meyer/Glass Design, an industry-leading industrial design firm, for the past ten years. With licenses from the USPTO and the Illinois Bar, he has practiced in every area of corporate and intellectual property law, including practice before the United States Patent Office and the United States Trademark Office and Appeals Board. Whipple has negotiated licenses with many major toy and entertainment industry players such as Mattel, Hasbro, NBC, and NASCAR. Besides earning a J.D. from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Whipple has degrees in physics and mathematics from Drake University in Des Moines. Originally from Wapello, Iowa, Whipple lives in Matteson, Illinois with his wife Wendy and daughter Diana. In his spare time he is an avid photographer and enjoys reading, woodworking, and metalcrafting.
