Golden Tee Players Charity Championship A Huge Success
GT Players Unite to Raise Over $40,000 for Make-A-Wish Foundation

Arlington Heights, IL - June 24, 2004  Golden Tee Golf is famous for its devoted player community and unprecedented live events. On June 5th and 6th at Splinter's Sports Club in Palatine, Illinois, the famed video golf game reached an unparalleled height not only through its players' competition, but their compassion as well. The Golden Tee Players Charity Championship (PCC) began as a simple concept within the player community for a tournament with a new dimension and has since resulted into one of the greatest Golden Tee Golf experiences in history.

The PCC was a player-run tournament and Incredible Technologies was the event's major sponsor. Players in the two-day, double elimination event competed for best score in order qualify for the championship bracket and raise money for charity in the process. Not unlike a charity walk-a-thon, players gathered pledges prior to the event from friends and family who agreed to donate a specified amount to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois, the official charity of Video Golfers for Underdogs, for each stroke they shot under par during the 3-round qualifier. A silent auction also took place with unique items like autographed memorabilia and sports tickets.

The player's efforts culminated in an astonishing total donation of $40,892 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, allowing for the granting of 8 wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions. The check presentation ceremony took place Saturday evening, featuring the Executive Director of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northern Illinois, Pam Devereux. Event organizers Lance Bertram and Steve Churak presented the check to Devereux on behalf of the Video Golfers for Underdogs. During a poignant speech, Devereux said, “It's inspiring to see what can be accomplished when a group of people set their sights on a common goal. Thank you so much for you generosity and good will.”

Incredible Technologies'executives Elaine and Larry Hodgson were also given an opportunity to express their gratitude to the players during the check presentation. “The power of Golden Tee Golf never ceases to amaze me,” IT's CEO said, “no words can describe the accolades you deserve for what was accomplished here today. Thank you for allowing us to take part in this fine event.”

The role played by Incredible Technologies in the PCC went deeper than just supplying games for the event. Four IT employees competed in the competition, including Product and Services Representative and three-time Golden Tee National Champion, Steven Sobe. Through the efforts of the rest of the IT family, pledges for Sobe and the other staff members totaled over $17,000. Lance Bertram, Vice President of the Video Golfers for Underdogs, stated, “The generosity of the Incredible Technologies staff transformed the PCC from a “big success” to a “mind blowing success. Thank you for all your efforts.”

Along with the PCC's tremendous charitable accomplishment, the event was memorable for its competition as well. 2003 Golden Tee Blind Play Champion, Brian Bernhardt, defeated current World Champion, Chris Eversole, in an exciting double-elimination match. After edging Eversole in the sudden-death finals with a miraculous par-4 eagle, Bernhardt took home the $3,000 grand prize as well as PCC Champion honors.

Sports Illustrated and CBS News Sunday Morning were present at the PCC, documenting the action from start to finish. In a series of interviews with event competitors, organizers and Incredible Technologies staff, the media captured the essence of the live Golden Tee charity event.
