Jeff Hailey poured on the English to earn a 1st place score Bensalem, PA – Merit Entertainment’s annual January Freeze TournaMAXX™ competition showed players how to keep their cool with featured Megatouch games Castle Bandits and Q-Shot. Merit ran its exciting prize program which, in addition to regular TournaMAXX, delivers prizes at both the local & national levels. This month’s prize game was Castle Bandits.
Jeff Hailey poured on the English to earn a 1st place score of 98,590 in the January Q-Shot tournament. Jeff was one of 2 winners this month to play on a machine from Raleigh Amusements, he plays at the Edwards Mill Bar & Grill in Raleigh, NC. Playing at the Monkey Bar in Spokane, WA, Thad Nixon cued up a score of 98,390 for second place on a touch screen operated by Bullseye Amusement. Breaking into third was Mike Dandy with a score of 98,350. Mike plays at the 45th Street Pub in McMinnville, OR on a machine from Mt. Hood Vending. Scott Hanson hustled up the single game high score of 101,050 playing at P.J.’s in Spokane, WA on a touch screen operated by System Amusement, Inc. Marc Pederson led the charge for this month’s Castle Bandits tournament averaging a score of 332,800. Marc stormed the castle at Sundance Lanes in Humboldt, IA on a touch screen operated by Sundance Coin. Battling into second place, with a score of 331,820, was Mike Mitchell of Clarkston, WV. Mike also earned the heroic single game high score of 340,100 points. His efforts were recorded at Bridge Street Connection on a machine from Rob’s Amusement. Valiantly taking third place was Liz Henderson. Liz scored 330,540 points at Sharky’s in Raleigh, NC. Liz was the 2nd Raleigh Amusements player to win this month. “Every tournament adds an edge of excitement for the players involved.” said Shawn Sturtz of Sundance Coin. “It’s a nice boost for business.” As a reward for his skill in battle, and a score of 347,080, Jonathan Klee took home a 42” Widescreen Plasma TV in this month’s Castle Bandits Prize Tournament. Jonathan plays at Windsor Pub in Cedar Falls, OH on a machine from Bell Music. Cameron Reinhard proved himself the favorite knight of Pipeline in Omaha, NE. He earned a score of 346,220 taking home the second place prize of a 1.33 MP DVD Camcorder. Pipeline’s touch screen is operated by NTS. Cranford, NJ’s own Keen Mnd came in third with a score of 343,440 to win a 5 Disk DVD Theater System. Keen Mnd plays at Mighty Mike’s Bar & Grill on a machine from Professional Amusement. “It’s so fun just to play the games and to win anything would be great,” said Jonathan Klee, “but to win a plasma screen TV is just amazing!” Bob Mills, Merit’s Vice President of North American Sales said, “We would like to say thank you to all who participated, helping to make this event another great success.
