Merit Entertainment’s annual April Showers TournaMAXX™
Bensalem, PA – Merit Entertainment’s annual April Showers TournaMAXX™ competition had players taking shelter from the soft rain of spring by playing Take 2™ in both regular and prize tournaments.
Todd Grange topped the regular Take 2 tournament with 146,467 points, while playing at Roger’s Muni in Rogers, MN on a machine from CDL Company. The second and third place winners were separated by just over 100 points, with Tsukiko Brown scoring 144,265 and Tanya Sowers 144,126. Tsukiko scored big at the American Legion Post 315 in Box Elder, SD, which is operated by Rushmore Amusements, Inc. Tanya earned her place on a touch screen from Shaffer Distributing, Co. in Danville, IN at Ryan’s Bar & Grill.
Jan Waller earned the single game high score with a whopping 151,500 at the Pioneer Bar in Duluth, MN. The Pioneer is operated by Eagle Amusements.
The top three lucky winners in this month’s prize tournament took home some great items. Ke Trung Lam is now the proud owner of a 42” Widescreen Plasma HDTV for scoring 147,053 on a Modern Amusements touch screen from Champion Billiards in Alexandria, VA. Previous winner Jonathan Klee adds to his entertainment center a Bose DVD Home Theater System. “Winning once was awesome!” said Klee, “I never thought I’d win again. Now, I have the ultimate home theater. This is great!” Not only did Jonathan come in second
with an average score of 145,858, but he also took the single game high score with 150,060. He did all this at the Windsor Pub in Kent, OH on a Bell Music machine. DiCarlo said, “It’s nice to see our players winning. The prizes really keep them coming back for more.” In third with a score of 145,079 was Rich Scanlon of Glenshaw, PA. For his efforts playing a Megatouch™ from Pennsylvania Amusement, he gets an Apple iBook. The lucky guy got his prize playing at the Middle Road Inn.
