NAMA UNVEILS NEW ONE-STOP WEB SITE FOR VENDING TOOLS & ADVICE:
NAMA Vision Puts Your Finger on The Pulse of Vending

CHICAGO, IL -  A new web site that offers vending, coffee service and on-site food management industry professionals everything from industry statistics to today's top industry headlines and a library of reference articles is now available at www.namavision.org thanks to a new initiative from the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA), NAMA CFO and Secretary Treasurer Patrick Caffarelli announced today.

In discussing the new site Caffarelli said, “We understand that to be successful in any business today you need access to a wide range of data sources, and that's what we've provided at NAMA vision. The site is essentially a one-stop-shop offering all sorts of resources for industry executives, delivering everything from a tool to help you build your own Plan-o-Gram to statistics, accounting advice and a library of reference articles. All the tools are essentially right there at your finger tips.”

According to Caffarelli, one of the site's most exciting features is a Build Your Own Plan-o-Gram that allows visitors to create a site where they get a user ID and password to begin building a Plan-O-Gram that can be continually changed and updated. “The site walks you through the entire process to make it as simple as possible and we think operators are going to find this tool extremely valuable,” he said.

In the site's Accounting section, members can click on a link to use the Business Valuation Calculator to learn what their business is worth, or learn more about basic audit procedures. In the Terminology section, members can access an alphabetized list of industry terms and phrases, and in the Insights section members can learn from a host of articles dispensing advice about a variety of vending and coffee service issues. Thanks to research provided by Crane's InfoVend, members can access a Knowledge Base about products that details top selling items. The site also reports on industry statistics, including highlights from NAMA's popular Wage Rates & Benefits survey and Operating Ratio Report.

Concluded Caffarelli, “Everyone knows that knowledge is power, which is why we worked so hard to collect as much information about the industry as possible in one place so that members have everything they need to run a successful business with just a click of their mouse. We thank the many, many member companies who worked with us to make this possible, and hope our members find the site useful.”

NAMA is the national trade association of the food and refreshment vending, coffee services and foodservice management industries including on-site, commissary, catering, & mobile. Its membership is comprised of service companies, equipment manufacturers and suppliers of products and services to operating service companies. The basic mission of the association, to collectively advance and promote the automatic merchandising and OCS industries, still guides NAMA today as it did in 1936, the year of the organization's founding.
