National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA)
MSU EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT CLASS SET FOR JANUARY 22-27
Registration Now Open!
CHICAGO, IL - Senior leaders in vending, coffee service and on-site food management interested in advancing their career should be sure to register for next National Automatic Merchandising Association's (NAMA) Michigan State University (MSU) Executive Development Program scheduled for January 22-27, 2006, NAMA Director of Education and Meeting Services LyNae Schleyer announced today. The highly specialized advanced education Program, sponsored by Con-Agra Foods Vending and OCS, is offered in conjunction with the nation's oldest and most prestigious business-based hospitality school in the country and is designed to help participants build critical strategic thinking skills, learn to be a more effective leaders and sharpen their ability to make decisions effectively.
In discussing this year's Program Schleyer said, “Since we launched this program five years ago it has continued to grow, with the largest class ever graduating in 2005. Registration is now open for the next class, so those interested in attending should be sure to sign up soon.”
The curriculum developed for the Program is designed to help attendees master everything from successfully integrating today's technology applications and viewing the competition, to developing action plans and business strategies designed to strengthen the business. The highly specialized Program tracks the very same advanced curriculum courses offered elsewhere, including finance, marketing, supply chain management, technology and negotiations strategy.
Attendees who have graduated from the Program rave about the benefits. For example, when asked about his experience, Graduate and NAMA Board member Stanley Ledbetter said, “This was one of the most knowledgeable experiences I've had in the 34 years that I've been in this business. I was very surprised too at the level of knowledge the Program's professors had about our industry. It was a well organized great Program and I'd recommend it to anybody.”
Added Schleyer, “Looking at the positive response we always have for the Executive Development Program it's obvious that industry leaders serious about advancing their careers are realizing the incredible value it offers. Essentially it's an opportunity to benefit from exceptional education for about the third of the cost that you would expect to pay anywhere else.”
Laura Webb General Manager of ARAMARK Refreshment Services in Louisville, Kentucky, who attended last year's class, said, “The Program is a comprehensive education in the vending business. It was a wonderful opportunity for me to network and benchmark with my peers, and I thought it was an excellent opportunity to strengthen my leadership skills.”
Concluded Schleyer, “If you're serious about advancing your career, attending the MSU Executive Development Program is an experience you can't afford to miss.”
NAMA is the national trade association of the food and refreshment vending, coffee service and foodservice management industries including on-site, commissary, catering, & mobile.
