Research Survey Results First Tool Designed to Help Coffee Service Members Flourish CHICAGO, IL - October 17 - Coffee service operator members of the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) should be sure to attend an exclusive members-only session at the National Expo to learn more about a special Operator Tool Kit that is underway to help operators succeed, NAMA Vice President of Membership and Coffee Service Dean Gilland announced today. The NAMA National Expo is the world's largest trade show for vending, coffee service and food service and will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, October 27-29, and the special members only coffee service session will be held Thursday, October 27 at 1 p.m.
In discussing the Tool Kit Gilland said, “Over the next several months NAMA will be developing a Tool Kit for operators to help them better address a variety of issues they face on a day to day basis. The first strategic tool in the kit will be the results of a sweeping survey that is designed to help companies learn more about the experiences and desires of end-user customers. This is the most comprehensive coffee service research project NAMA has ever conducted, and it is designed to help our members learn how to strengthen the services they offer their customers so they can push their business forward. The better our members understand both their clients and the business environment the better they can respond to customer demand and prosper.”
The results of the survey that will be shared with members will be just the first of a three-phase process and will look at employees who consume the beverages provided by their employer in the workplace. The results will identify why they use the office service; what keeps them there and what they'd like to see offered in the future. The results will also identify other places where consumers purchase similar products and services. In the next phase of the process, decision makers will be surveyed to better identify their views and preferences as well.
In addition, according to Gilland some of the other Tool Kit items planned for the future include an online message board for members to ask and respond to questions; sales tips, industry best practices and pre-developed presentations surrounding various coffee service subjects members can share with their accounts.
Concluded Gilland, “This session is an absolute not-to-be missed event for anyone serious about advancing in the field. The bottom line is that those who do not attend will be missing out on an enormous opportunity to learn about the future trends and opportunities so they can better plan today to tap into tomorrow's opportunities. Your competitor is sure to be there learning how to better meet customer demand; shouldn't you be there too?”
NAMA is the national trade association of the food and refreshment vending, coffee services and foodservice management industries including on-site, commissary, catering, & mobile. Its membership is comprised of service companies, equipment manufacturers and suppliers of products and services to operating service companies. The basic mission of the association, to collectively advance and promote the automatic merchandising and industries, still guides NAMA today as it did in 1936, the year of the organization's founding. |
