Video Tells What the Industry Is Doing To Fight Rising Childhood Obesity Rates
Chicago, IL — Members of the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) interesting in learning more about or sharing the results of the Balanced for Life campaign with others now have the opportunity to purchase a copy of a new Video, NAMA President & CEO Richard M. Geerdes, NCE, announced today. The short video presentation tells the story of the industry's work to help address the nation's rising obesity rates and was unveiled at the NAMA National Expo in Atlanta.

Balanced for Life is a national education initiative launched by NAMA in January, 2005 to position the industry as a partner working with parents, schools and community leaders by underscoring the importance of a balanced diet and being physically active. While the program initially focused exclusively on school accounts, the program will expand into the business community during the next year of the program.

NAMA is the national trade association of the food and refreshment vending, coffee service and foodservice management industries including on-site, commissary, catering, & mobile. Its membership is comprised of service companies, equipment manufacturers and suppliers of products and services to operating service companies.
