Bring Your Questions & Leave With Information to Implement And Make Your Business More Profitable Chicago, IL—Several educational sessions including the exam for National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) Certified Executive designation will be offered on Saturday, March 25, the final day of the Spring Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center, NAMA Director of Education and Meeting Services LyNae Schleyer, CMP, announced today.“The Saturday sessions are a great opportunity to focus on education and perhaps get answers to questions you might have had while on the trade show floor,” said Schleyer. You have a choice of three, all from 9 to 11 in the morning, she added. The highly popular Vending 101 with Victor E. Pemberton, NCE, president of Pepi Foods, is designed for the recently established vending operator. Sponsored by S&D Coffee, topics at this interactive session include machines, sales strategies, contracts, food, financials, warehousing and customer service. There will also be an opportunity to address some of your own challenges and questions that you are facing as a new operator. No matter how long you have been in the office refreshment business you can benefit from the Coffee Service Open Forum. Moderated by Steve Hyde, vice president of Newco Enterprises Inc. and sponsored by Proctor & Gamble, the session is packed with quality questions from the audience to the panel of experts in the fields of water equipment, tea and other growing hot beverages. If you prefer round table discussions, you can join fellow operators at the Vending Round Table where topics will be pertinent to operations. Each participant will have the opportunity to participate in two different topics such as route standards and efficiencies, security, category management business evaluation or cashless technology. Attendees interested in advancing their careers by earning their NCE designation should register soon to take the exam, which will be conducted from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, said Schleyer. “For anyone serious about advancing in the industry, this is a critical step because it shows your colleagues and customers alike your commitment to the industry,” she added. The entire application process is very convenient. An application form can be found at www.namance.org. After the candidate’s application has been approved, a special NCE Study Guide is available at a special rate to help them prepare for the exam. The NAMA Spring Expo is the world’s largest trade show for the vending, coffee service and foodservice management industries. It features a commanding display of the industry’s hottest technology, newest products, education sessions and unmatched networking opportunities. In addition to educational programming March 23-25, the trade show on March 23 and 24 will include: ● New Exhibitor Pavilion which highlights companies participating in the Spring Expo for the first time. ● Quality Coffee Certification Program with a new 90-minute session that will put your coffee knowledge to work for you. ● Spring Fling party with complimentary beer/soft drinks and light buffet, great for networking and having fun. Concluded Schleyer, “If you are attending the Expo, why not take advantage of the Saturday educational sessions? Increasing your knowledge about the industry can certainly help increase your bottom line.” NAMA is the national trade association of the food and refreshment vending, coffee service and foodservice management industries including on-site, commissary, catering, & mobile. Its membership is comprised of service companies, equipment manufacturers and suppliers of products and services to operating service companies. The basic mission of the association, to collectively advance and promote the automatic merchandising and coffee service industries, still guides NAMA today as it did in 1936, the year of the organization’s founding.
