There’s Still Time to Recognize Deserving Individuals and Companies CHICAGO, IL – The September 1 deadline is fast approaching for nominations for the seventh annual National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) industry awards, NAMA Vice President Membership & Coffee Services Dean Gilland, NCE, announced today. The awards recognize deserving individuals and companies for professional achievements in Vending, Coffee Service and Foodservice Management. They will be presented by the NAMA Chairman and CEO at the Industry Awards Banquet during the National Expo in Orlando in October.“Don’t let the deadline pass. Send in your nomination for individuals and companies who consistently demonstrate the highest standards of professional excellence,” said Gilland. “They deserve recognition for their dedication and commitment to our industry which in the end benefits us all.” Nominations are welcome in one or all categories including: Vending: • Operator of the Year Award (Golden Coin) – Recognizes an individual and his or her company who has exhibited the highest level of integrity, dedication and leadership in the vending industry: • Allied Member of the Year Award – Recognizes an individual and his or her company who best exemplifies support of the vending industry through their dedication, customer service and leadership; Coffee Service: • Mike Savoie Operator of the Year Award– Created to honor the operator who exhibits the highest level of integrity, dedication and leadership in the coffee service industry; • Allied Member of the Year Award – Recognizing the individual and his or her company that best exemplifies support of the coffee service industry through their dedication, customer service, and leadership; Open to All Members: • Industry Person of the Year – Recognizes an individual who has consistently exemplified the highest standards of professional excellence throughout his or her career in the Vending, Coffee Service or Foodservice Management industry and who has been an inspiration to others. Nominations for the awards are open to NAMA members world-wide and the winners will be chosen from those nominations. Final selections will be made by the Selection Committee which is made up of past award winners, current Committee members and industry personnel. The Committee will consider all nominations received by September 1, 2006. Results will remain confidential until they are announced at the awards banquet. The organization is the national trade association of the food and refreshment vending, coffee service and foodservice management industries including on-site, commissary, catering, & mobile. The basic mission of the association, to collectively advance and promote the automatic merchandising and coffee service industries, still guides NAMA today as it did in 1936, the year of the organization’s founding.
