Expertise Will Help Companies Expand Profits in the Refreshment Channel Philadelphia, PA – Former ARAMARK President and Senior Vice Chairman of the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) Board of Directors Richard Wyckoff, NCE has launched a strategic consulting company to help packaged goods companies, equipment manufacturers and allied suppliers identify opportunities for building their brands and expanding operations to improve profits. Wyckoff decided to resign from ARAMARK after the company signed a merger agreement going private last month. In discussing his consulting work Wyckoff said, “The landscape of refreshment services is literally changing day-to-day, which is why this is such an exciting time to be in our industry. Companies that not only see, but also understand the emerging workplace trends and are prepared to meet demand will be the ones that thrive. I’m excited to have the opportunity to help companies take advantage of these constant shifts and help them tap into new pools of profit.” During his eight years working with ARAMARK Wyckoff most recently served as president of the company’s refreshment services and business and industry facility service. Under his leadership, some of the recent ARAMARK Refreshments Services team accomplishments include becoming the leader in single-cup brewer systems and placements, development of AquaMark, a proprietary water filtration system, and the exclusive distribution rights to the Dunkin Donuts coffee brand in offices. When asked about his decision to leave ARAMARK Wyckoff said, “After the company went private, I decided it was the right time to step out of that company and explore new opportunities. I’m very committed to the industry and want to share with others the insights I’ve learned while working with some of the industry’s best known names. Essentially I’ll be helping friends and colleagues grow their business in the business and industry workplace.” Wyckoff’s reputation and expertise, particularly in the area of branding, were recently recognized by Automatic Merchandising Editor Elliot Maras who wrote at the magazine’s online news site, “Richard Wyckoff has been a stronger leader for change in vending and coffee service. He oversaw a new direction for ARAMARK, including a focus on branding. He recognized the potential for portion-control, single-cup coffee systems. He also recognized the need to introduce new technology in service delivery. The industry sorely needs visionaries like Wyckoff. Hopefully, he will lend his expertise to other industry players.” Wyckoff’s work with NAMA Board of Directors spanned six years where he held numerous positions including Secretary Treasurer, Vice Chairman, and Senior Vice Chairman. He also chaired the Finance and Audit Committee and led the industry’s national health and wellness initiative, Balanced for Life. Prior to joining ARAMARK, Wyckoff served as president of Imperial Nurseries, vice president corporate development for Culbro’s, and also held various sales and marketing positions for IBM. Richard holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Boston University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He was the Harvard Business School Baker Scholar in 1990. Richard is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization. He also finds time to coach baseball and basketball for the YMCA. Richard, his wife Abbe and two children reside in Gladwyne, PA. Concluded Wyckoff, “I’m looking forward to working with companies who want to be on the cutting edge of what’s next, and learning how to make it work for them. It’s a great time to be in our industry and I’m looking forward to sharing what I’ve learned to help others profit.” Richard Wyckoff can be contacted at 267-738-0726 or by E-mail at awyckoff1@hotmail.com.
