Food Donated by Exhibitors of NAMA’s National Expo Chicago IL., - Exhibitors to the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA), National Expo have donated 11,455 pounds of food to the Food Bank of Central Florida, NAMA Director, Trade Shows and Allied Membership Stuart Aizenberg, CEM announced today.The NAMA National Expo is the world’s largest vending, coffee and foodservice show and was held in October in Orlando FL, and the industry’s newest products and hottest technologies were all on display at the show. From new ‘better-for-you’ products available in vending machines -- like freeze dried fresh fruit -- to traditional favorites like M&Ms and Snickers, if it can be vended from a machines it was most likely on display at the show. In discussing the donation Aizenberg said, “We’re always delighted to make a food donation on behalf of our exhibitors to a charitable organization after the Expo. After all, the food we buy from vending machines is the very same fresh, high quality food you can purchase anywhere so our donation can make a significant difference to those in need.” Said Mindy Ortiz from the Food Bank of Central Florida, “Thank you so much for letting us pick up all of the leftover food from the show. We collected a total of 11,455 pounds!” NAMA is the national trade association of the food and refreshment vending, coffee service and foodservice management industries including on-site, commissary, catering, & mobile. Its membership is comprised of service companies, equipment manufacturers and suppliers of products and services to operating service companies. The basic mission of the association, to collectively advance and promote the automatic merchandising and coffee service industries, still guides NAMA today as it did in 1936, the year of the organization’s founding.
