NAMA National Automatic Merchandising Association

SIGNUP DEADLINE FAST APPROACHING

NAMA/MSU Executive Development Program Great for Career Enhancing Leadership Skills and Tools

Chicago, IL—The registration deadline of December 1, 2006, is fast approaching for the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) Michigan State University (MSU) Executive Development Program scheduled for January 14-19, 2007, at MSU in Lansing, NAMA Senior Director of Education and Meeting Services LyNae Schleyer, CMP, announced today.

This program helps senior leaders in the vending, coffee service and foodservice management industries think like the CEO-Owner to move a company to the next level in the competitive marketplace, said Schleyer. Key decision-makers in areas such as finance, marketing, operations and human resources will benefit from the program, which is designed to help participants build critical strategic thinking skills, learn to be more influential leaders, and sharpen their ability to make decisions more effectively.

In discussing this year’s program Schleyer said that MSU distinguished faculty from the Eli Broad Graduate School of Management, The School of Hospitality Business and the College of Communications and Sciences along with key industry experts will cover topics on leadership, team building, finance, customer service, negotiation strategies, marketing, sales and supply chain management.”

“It really is a not-to-be-missed program for anyone serious about advancing in the industry,” Schleyer said.

Sponsored by PepsiCo Foodservice, the NAMA/MSU Executive Development Program is offered in conjunction with the nation’s oldest and most prestigious business-based hospitality school in the country. Based on the success of the first program in October 2000, NAMA has continued the program on an annual basis.

The registration fee includes five days of customized curriculum, all educational material, personalized MSU Certificate of Completion and most meals. For additional information contact the NAMA Education Department at 312-346-0370 x253 or visit education@vending.org. NAMA is the national trade association of the food and refreshment vending, coffee service and foodservice management industries including on-site, commissary, catering, & mobile. Its membership is comprised of service companies, equipment manufacturers and suppliers of products and services to operating service companies. The basic mission of the association, to collectively advance and promote the automatic merchandising and coffee service industries, still guides NAMA today as it did in 1936, the year of the organization’s founding.
