NAMA National Automatic Merchandising Association

WYCKOFF FORMS SECOND COMPANY: W STRATEGIC INVESTING, LLC

Company Specializes in Financing Growth and Expansion

Philadelphia, PA – – Former ARAMARK President and Senior Vice Chairman of the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) Board of Directors Richard Wyckoff, NCE has launched a second company, W Strategic Investing, LLC, to help enterprises finance growth and expansion.

In making the announcement Wyckoff said, “While my first company, W Strategic Consulting, helps companies expand in the away from home food and beverage market, W Strategic Investing specializes in financing growth and expansion. The company will invest in private companies while I work personally with company leaders to create strategic programs that deliver results. In the end our company will make sure clients realize their growth objectives.”

Through W Strategic Investing, LLC Wyckoff will consult on business development, business planning, strategic planning, organizational development, acquisition support and the development of strategic alliances.

In discussing his consulting work Wyckoff said, “As an active investor I will be committing personal capital while at the same time actively working to support the enterprise either as an advisor to senior management or as a board member. In this way, I can provide both capital and strategic support.”

Wyckoff’s is one of the best known leaders in the away from home food and beverage industry, and has been lauded for his early recognition of a variety of trends including single-cup coffee systems. Wrote Automatic Merchandising Editor Elliot Maras, “Wyckoff oversaw a new direction for ARAMARK, including a focus on branding. He recognized the potential for portion-control, single-cup coffee systems. He also recognized the need to introduce new technology in service delivery. The industry sorely needs visionaries like Wyckoff. Hopefully, he will lend his expertise to other industry players.”

Wyckoff’s work with NAMA Board of Directors spanned six years where he held numerous positions including Secretary Treasurer, Vice Chairman, and Senior Vice Chairman. He also chaired the Finance and Audit Committee and led the industry’s national health and wellness initiative, Balanced for Life. During his eight years working with ARAMARK Wyckoff most recently served as president of the company’s refreshment services and business and industry facility service. Under his leadership, some of the recent ARAMARK Refreshments Services team accomplishments include becoming the leader in single-cup brewer systems and placements, development of AquaMark, a proprietary water filtration system, and the exclusive distribution rights to the Dunkin Donuts coffee brand in offices.

Wyckoff holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Boston University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He was the Harvard Business School Baker Scholar in 1990. Richard is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization.

Concluded Wyckoff, “It’s a great time to be in our industry, and I’m looking forward to helping others profit from the opportunities constantly emerging on the horizon of today’s business landscape.”
