Masaya Nakamura, founder of Namco, was presented one of the highest awards one can receive from the Japanese government. In their Spring Conferment of Decorations, in the field of industry, Mr. Nakamura, received the “Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette” in recognition of his valuable contribution to the industry. Since its founding in 1955, Namco has explored the various aspects of play, expanding its business into a wide variety of fields. As a leader of entertainment business, Mr. Nakamura’s contributions to the industry have been well recognized. Mr. Nakamura said “I am very honored to receive the award.” “I express my sincere appreciation and gratitude for all people who supported me. In order to grow and prosper in the rapidly changing Contents industry, a flexible way of thinking and actions becomes essential. I would like to entrust our future to the younger generations and expect them to succeed.” On June 5th the Bandai Namco Group held a ceremony to congratulate Mr. Nakamura.
