SAN JOSE, CA - Namco America Inc. Thousands of players competed in Namco's Regional Tournaments from February 5th through March 12th in locations across North America. Namco appreciates having these locations host these special events, Orbit Entertainment ~ Makha, Canada, Tilt ~ St. Ann, MO, Cal Poly ~ Pomona, CA, Tilt ~ Chicago, IL, University Pinball ~ Philadelphia, PA, Cyber Zone Town ~ Mesquite, TX, Tilt ~ Warwick, RI, Golfland ~ Sunnyvale, CA, Johnny Zee's Amusements ~ Victoria, Canada, Red and Jerry's ~ Sheridan, CO and Wonderpark in Puerto Rico.
The top 3 players in each of the locations from the United States, plus the top two from Canada and first place winner from Puerto Pico, arrived at the Pac-Man® Café in Orlando, FL on April 2nd to compete for the title of Tekken 5 National Champion!
After several hours of battlin' it out with the best Tekken players, Bronson Tran from San Jose, Ca was crowned the Tekken 5 Champion.
The grand prize for this dedicated Tekken player is an all expense paid trip to Tokyo, Japan! Bronson Tran will be the USA representative competing for the World Tekken 5 Champion Title at the Tougeki 2005, Super Battle Opera 2005 on May 3rd and 4th. The Tougeki is the largest tournament of this kind in the world!
