Back by popular demand INDIANAPOLIS - The AMOA National Dart Association (NDA) has announced the details for Team Dart XXII, which will be held April 27-May 5, 2007 at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. This 22nd annual international electronic darting event boasts many positive changes and $500,000 in prize money for all players from beginners to masters.Back by popular demand, Team events will once again be held over a three-day period, instead of two, giving players a little break in the action and the option of participating in more events throughout the week. Due to the three-day schedule for Team events, Mixed Doubles Combo and Mixed Triples 701 have been moved to the evenings following Round 2 of each Team event. This allows those teams that generally arrive at the end of the week the option to participate in not only Team 501, but in the Mixed Triples as well. Due to a shift in ladies' participation, there will no longer be a separate Ladies division for Team events. Ladies may still choose to participate in Open or Ladies Masters for Team Cricket and Team 501. Ladies with a valid skill rating may choose to play in Ladies Masters. Teams without a valid skill rating automatically will be placed in the Ladies Masters division for any event. The wonderful part about leveling at Team Dart is that the number of levels and actual classification ranges always depends on the skills of those players entered each year. Therefore, the NDA will continue to keep the ladies playing levels based on their entry skills so that they are ensured the best possible time at the tournament. In addition to the eight other pre-registration required events, the NDA will be offering another on-site sign-up event, Second Chance Team 501, on Saturday, May 5. This event is very similar to Second Chance Team Cricket in that it allows those teams who do not make the finals a second opportunity to win! Testing for the NDA's Know the Rules program will be offered on Monday evening. Players are encouraged to take the test, which demonstrates their knowledge of the game, as well as makes them a Know the Rules Top Flite Member of the NDA. This test is also the prerequisite for the NDA's Referee Certification Course, which will be offered once again on Wednesday for those wanting to become certified electronic darting referees. The NDA is an international trade association of coin-operated vending companies representing approximately 300 members and 250,000 players worldwide. The NDA was formed by and for coin machine operators to promote the sport of electronic darting exclusively on an operator-owned equipment. The Association offers a variety of programs, materials, and supplies to support its members in increasing the profitability of their dart operations. The NDA and Team Dart is sponsored by the Amusement and Music Operators Association (AMOA), Arachnid, Inc., Medalist Corporation, NSM-Lowen Entertainment, and Shelti, Inc.
