NSM UNVEILS `THE PHOENIX' DOWNLOADING JUKEBOX
A thousand watts of sound and 19” touch screen are just some highlights in the newest Jukebox model from NSM and powered by Ecast
Las Vegas—The AMOA International Expo—September 7, 2005—NSM Music Group Limited, the coin-op amusement industry's digital jukebox value leader, and Ecast Inc., a broadband-enabled service provider for digital jukeboxes, will present a new electrifying jukebox model, the Phoenix.
This jukebox features a 19” touch screen with 1,000-watts of powerful surround sound in an eye-pleasing floor cabinet and silver-brushed framework with backlit, sound-sensitive lighting and two large speaker columns.
“We are very pleased to present The Phoenix, which is our first floor model with downloading capabilities,” said NSM's Vice President of Operations Tony Lantz.
NSM Music will demonstrate the new Ecast-powered Phoenix digital jukebox at the AMOA International Expo (www.amoashow.com) sponsored by the Amusement & Music Operators Association from Sept. 14 to 16 in Booth #2501 in the North Hall 3/4 of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The Phoenix provides on-demand access to an enormous catalog of songs from all five major and many independent record labels through Ecast's Location-Based Broadband Network. Ecast keeps its catalog current by automatically uploading new music releases each week to the network.
“Having teamed up with NSM last year for The Chameleon we were honored to be able to power their latest model,” said John Taylor, interim CEO for Ecast. “Several of this jukebox features, including the fact that it is a floor model, will make it convenient for locations to consider adding a broadband-enabled digital jukebox from Ecast.”
In addition to being a floor model with downloading capabilities, Lantz said the Phoenix's most appealing features were the 19” touch screen—which is larger than most jukebox touch screens—and its vibrant lighting system.
“As the music plays, the lighting changes colors,” Lantz said. “This animated featured is a great way to attract customers and it ultimately gives our operators a wider range of products to choose from.”
The jukebox also features a 1,000-watt, 4-channel, digital amplifier, an infrared remote control, an insert credit card reader and interchangeable internal components for easy service.
