ROCK-OLAPREPARE TO BE ROCKED! ROCK-OLA INTRODUCES THE ROCK-STAR AN ENTRY LEVEL DOWNLOADING WALL-BOXTORRANCE, CA - September 14, 2005 (AMOA 2005) - Rock-Ola Manufacturing Corporation today introduced the world to
“Rock-Ola is very excited to introduce music fans across the country to their next favorite Rock-Star”, declared Rock-Ola CEO Glenn Streeter. “The Rock-Star is a great addition to the Rock-Ola family because it delivers everything a world class jukebox should - its dramatic good looks ensure that it will stand out and draw music lovers in any location, its solid engineering and quality components will please any discriminating operator and the reasonable price tag means that it won't break the bank. With a wider range of jukebox styles and price points than any other manufacturer, Rock-Ola has a top quality, top earning jukebox for any location and any budget.”
Rock-Ola's new Rock-Star comes with attention-grabbing cosmic graphics, featuring a bright halo effect and a galaxy of stars, which are screen printed on the jukebox's ¼ inch thick tempered, glass front. As with Rock-Ola's entire downloading jukebox line, the Rock-Star in powered by Ecast's software and digital music content.
“Rock-Ola is all about creating products to meet operator needs, so we set out to determine the desired feature set for a value-priced, entry level jukebox with all of the quality and reliability that Rock-Ola jukeboxes are known for”, observed Rock-Ola's vice president of engineering Ross Blomgren. “We knew that any new Rock-Ola product had to be solidly built and we refused to compromise on quality. We are thrilled with the Rock-Star and we are happy to deliver yet another Rock-Ola downloading jukebox option to our customers.”
In order to create a moderately priced product, allow operators to use existing parts, and ensure that it has a high level of serviceability, the Rock-Star shares many components with its big brother, the Wall-Rock. While the Rock-Star uses an entirely new door, it takes advantage of having the same cabinet as Wall-Rock, so that boxes can be switched using the same mounting bracket. Also in common are: the same 4-Channel Pre-Amp, U.P.S., dual fans, automatic cabinet temperature control, internal router mounting, hard drive and computer core.
In just 2 years since the AMOA tradeshow in 2003, the innovators at Rock-Ola have introduced - and subsequently improved upon - an unprecedented five different new downloading jukebox models. These existing models (in the order they were introduced) are: the E-Rock floor model, which married downloading technology to a familiar jukebox cabinet style; the Wall-Rock wall-mounted jukebox, with its small profile and attractive light show; the E-Bubbler, which bridged the gap between jukebox nostalgia and its future; and the full featured, diner-style Wallette Jukebox. New model #5, Rock-Ola's Rock-Star will be in distributors' show rooms soon. SPECIFICATIONS:
