Cost-Effective New CD-to-Ecast Conversion Kits Built with Legendary Rock-Ola Quality TORRANCE, CA – Rock-Ola Manufacturing Corporation is please to provide operators of the company’s CD jukeboxes with a path to the revenue-generating world of Ecast-powered digital downloading jukeboxes. The Fireball Kit, which converts floor model CD jukeboxes, and the Vivo Kit, which converts existing wall-mounted CD jukeboxes are economical kits backed by Rock-Ola’s decades-long
legacy of reliability and manufacturing excellence and powered by Ecast’s industry-leading earnings. Both kits transform
retro Rock-Ola CD units to state-of-the art digital downloading jukeboxes using the same reliable components as the award winning E-Rock and Wall-Rocks.
The Rock-Ola Fireball kit, which is expected to ship in early May 2006, converts existing Fireball CD jukebox models A, B and E. The Vivo kit, expected to ship in late May 2006, converts existing Rock-Ola model C and D wall-mounted CD jukeboxes.
In order to create moderately priced conversion kits, the Fireball and Vivo both allow operators to use existing Mars bill acceptors, coin mechanisms, internal power and amplifier. The Fireball features new lighting, while the Vivo reuses existing lighting. Existing infrared remote controls can still be used with both kits. Rock-Ola’s vice president of engineering Ross Blomgren noted, “Rock-Ola’s new Fireball and Vivo kits deliver all the quality and reliability for which Rock-Ola/Ecast jukeboxes are known. For instance, Rock-Ola kits include monitors surrounded by backlit silk-screened glass rather than sheet metal as with other jukebox kits. And the new units utilize the digital on-screen sound system controls found in the new Rock-Ola downloading jukeboxes. Rock-Ola’s decades of manufacturing experience and highly efficient
on-site factory mean that we can produce and ship thousands of these top quality units.”
Operators can expect installs to take 2-3 hours, depending on the condition of the CD jukebox. The process is quick and easy – install the kit in the morning, place a Fireball or Vivo in the location that afternoon. The kits even include a new power cord (in case someone snipped off the ground pin). Bob Cooney, Ecast’s Vice President of Manufacturing Business Development observed, “Rock-Ola’s new kits give operators an opportunity to keep their existing equipment, upgrade it to the latest Ecast technology and increase earnings dramatically for much less than new equipment would cost. We are thrilled that Rock-Ola has entered the kit market. With these new products, operators now have 17 Ecast-powered jukebox models to choose from.” KITS INCLUDE: Computer Core / UPS / 15” ELO LCD Monitor / All Hardware / Tempered Dome Glass / Keyboard Overlay / Side Glass Decals / Instruction Decals / All Cables For more information, please contact Rock-Ola at 310-328-1306, sales@rock-ola.com or visit online at www.rock-ola.com April 6, 2006 |
