Home recreation dealers at the Billiard Show heartily embraced the Nostalgic Music Center Torrance, CA, The recent International Billiard and Home Recreation Show in Las Vegas set the stage for the debut of Rock-Ola’s “new” Nostalgic Music Center.Nostalgic Music Center, version 2.1, is the first nostalgic model built with the incomparable Peavey amplifier, previously available only in Rock-Ola commercial jukes. The incorporation of the Peavey amp in the Music Center at last brings night club quality sound into the home. Bill Glasco said, “Our demos of the Peavey 900 watt amp blow everyone away at the show” -- including him. The development of the original Nostalgic Music Center, initially released in the Fall of 2006, has resulted in an impressive list of new design features as well as significantly evolved software driving the music management system. The new Nostalgic Music Center features the same user-friendly touch screen management built into a solid wood cabinet of exceptional quality. The familiar bubble tubes illuminate the box with a rainbow of undulating color. What’s new is a redesigned front door that accommodates the repositioned screen and control hardware, creating a more streamlined look. A remote receiver port has been added, allowing remote control of the system. The version 2.1 system software has important added capabilities, including iPod compatibility and CD-burning features. Other new features include .jpg upload for screensavers and album art and dual zone programming. iPod users can now sync their handhelds with Music Center-created playlists , adding instant portability to the music library. Playlists or entire albums can be easily burned to CD. Personal photos and art may be loaded for a custom screensaver. The system can now be configured for two zones, allowing play of one track or playlist in one area of the house and something different in another area. USB port connection allows music file transfer from other storage devices (such as laptop or personal computer) as well as the manual input of information via ordinary USB computer keyboard.Home recreation dealers at the Billiard Show heartily embraced the Nostalgic Music Center for its classic visual appeal, craftsmanship and components of exceptional quality, and smart and fun technology to satisfy almost any music collector. Though no one was quite ready to put the nail in the coffin of the CD-Changing jukebox, visitors to Rock-Ola booth identified the Music Center as “the future of jukeboxes for the home” due to its ease of use and range of capabilities. In place of the old, messy title papers of the CD jukebox is an automatic data retrieval system that gathers album information – including album artwork – from the internet the minute a CD is loaded into the machine. The “Auto Magic Touch Screen” is fun and easy to operate for almost anyone, yet still allows sophisticated users advanced audio features and custom setting options for music play and library management. The Music Center system is also self-maintaining, automatically performing system back-ups and maintenance when not in play. As they become available, system upgrades are automatically performed during the scheduled maintenance cycle, so the system is never obsolete. Retailers at the show were quick to recognize the combined added value of the Music Center’s features over the traditional CD jukebox. The Nostalgic Music Center is available in Walnut, Oak, or Black finishes, just like the rest of Rock-Ola’s Nostalgic line. It may also be special ordered in the exclusive “Gazelle” and “Peacock” designs, or the exclusively licenses Harley- Davidson model. Visitors at the Rock-Ola Booth found the Nostalgic Music Center one of the most compelling new products exhibited. Established Rock-Ola dealers expressed their support for the Music Center with orders, recognizing that this unique jukebox will give new life to sales of home entertainment products. New and potential dealers visiting the show were simply “wowed”, with many recognizing in the Music Center a quality product, the only one of its kind, that may be profitably marketed to their customers.
