For AMI-Powered Jukeboxes GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Rowe International Corp. announced the The V.2.6 software release introduces three music library search screens to improve the point-of-sales experience for the patron: Hot Music, a collection of the most popular songs played on jukeboxes connected to the AMI Entertainment Network; New Music, the latest albums that have been added to the network in the past 30 days; and All Music, all content available on AMI’s growing music library. “Improving how the jukebox patron selects music from a jukebox is one way to help increase per machine earnings,” said John Margold, Rowe’s senior vice-president of sales and marketing. “The AMI music library presently offers 334,000 songs on 26,350 albums.” Another major advance incorporated into the latest software version is The credit device service screen enables the testing of a Rowe jukebox’s bill validator, coin acceptor and credit card reader without generating credits on the machine and without reporting test activity to the AMI server. The input/output screen provides feedback from input push-buttons on the “Rowelink or Communications” controller board and IR remote control commands, and activates output circuits. In the audio/video service mode screen, a jukebox serviceman can play an audio test track and simultaneously adjust the parameters of Rowe’s Studio Sound, a propriety audio system capable of delivering sound to 4 zones with up to 2000 watts of audio. The service screen also provides purity, convergence and color bar images for adjusting a jukebox’s monitor. The “health” status service screen displays and assesses the condition of various critical system parameters to ensure that the best possible jukebox environment is maintained. Among these are CPU and cabinet temperatures, power supply voltages and cooling fan speeds. Also new on the V.2.6 software release is a customizable collection screen that allows the jukebox operator to configure and combine AMI subscription and off-the-top allowances, along with an automatic reset that restores preset volume levels, on jukeboxes equipped with Studio Sound, after the jukebox has been turned off for a period of time. Further information and photos of these software enhancements can be found on the company website at www.roweinternational.com. Simply go to the Jukebox page and select the Digital Internet or Jump Kit tabs to find the button labeled “Software Update V2.6”.
