Rowe International Expands Digital Lineup With New NiteHAWK™ Wall-Mounted Jukebox

The new Internet jukebox line is available in a choice of three decorative panels with predominantly red, blue or green styles

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Rowe International has begun shipping the NiteHAWK wall-mounted jukebox, designed to give operators additional options in meeting today’s market needs. Like Rowe’s NiteStar® and Solara® free-standing and StarBrite® wallmount digital downloading jukeboxes, the new NiteHAWK line is powered by AMI Entertainment, the jukebox manufacturer’s music content and networking technology division.

The NiteHAWK offers a more spacious cabinet to accommodate a 1,000-note stacker, a 19” LCD flat screen monitor and an optional second audio amplifier. It measures 42” high by 27.25” wide by 15” deep – 6” taller than the StarBrite – and weighs 180 lbs.

The new Internet jukebox line is available in a choice of three decorative panels with predominantly red, blue or green styles. A high-brightness LED lighting system illuminates the front panel, and offers a mean time between failure of approximately 100,000 hours. A lighting control board enables operators to adjust flashing patterns, including synchronization with the beat of the music.

The NiteHAWK features a 1.2-GHz processor and a large-capacity hard drive that can store up to 300 albums, including cover art. Amenities include “My Song First®,” which allows patrons to move their selection to the front of the queue at an upcharge, and a search function, “Any Song, Any Time®,” that permits the customer to locate a desired selection by artist, album or song title.

Supplied with an MEI (Mars) 2611-U10E bill acceptor for $1, $5, $10 and $20 notes that can hold up to 1,000 bills, as well as a quarter coin acceptor, the NiteHAWK also features a wireless remote control and a router for connection to the Internet. Options include a credit card reader and a second 1,000w amplifier with 70v output transformer.

NiteHAWK, which was first introduced in late March at the Amusement Showcase International in Las Vegas, offers operators total control over profits and options, with no need to share location information or give up control over communications. And jukeboxes connected to the AMI Entertainment Network are enjoying several new benefits in Rowe/AMI’s latest software system. Version 2.6, released in early 2007, features enhanced music selection functionality for patrons and expanded service diagnostic modules that aid equipment operators in the field. Also new to AMI-powered jukeboxes is a connection option that permits them to linkup with Verizon Wireless broadband network.

Information on NiteHAWK and AMI Entertainment is available from Rowe International distributors. A specification sheet is available for downloading at the company’s website, www.roweinternational.com.
